The top paint brands in the world choose their Color of the Year each year, and they then publish their Color Forecast. selecting a single colour that is currently in style together with a colour palette that properly complements the colour of the year.

In our houses, these popular paint hues don’t just appear on the walls. But they can be seen in many forms of art, including technology, graphic design, and even fashion. Compared to last year’s colour trends, this year’s colour palettes are richer, but nature continues to be our source of colour inspiration.

Yellow

Raspberry Blush

Raspberry Blush has been selected by Benjamin Moore as the 2023 Color of the Year. Raspberry Blush is a jovial coral colour with pink undertones. It is a highly striking hue that will stand out beautifully in your environment. And the statement is all up to you; you can use this hue as a dramatic accent colour or you can go all out and paint an entire room in it.

Green

This might shock you, but green is a fall color that’s out this year because it is too dark for some and too earthy for others. “Although the color is versatile and comes in many shades, it is being replaced by blue this year, which lends your room an outdoorsy vibe,”  says Richard Harless, the founder of AZ Flat Fee

“Vining Ivy” has been selected by PPG and Glidden Paint by PPG as the 2023 Color of the Year. Vining Ivy is a multipurpose shade of teal that merged strong blue with sophisticated green to create a jewel-toned colour. Because the color’s blue conveys emotions of calmness and its emerald inspires ideas of balance, it may be utilised to create relaxing atmospheres in areas. These two undertones work together to produce an incredibly rich, really fashionable hue.

“Consumers are looking to simplify in this period, as the last two years have shone a fresh focus on the significance of tranquilly and tiny moments,” says Ashley McCollum, a Glidden colour specialist. Vining Ivy brilliantly captures this atmosphere. It works in practically every room and is both stimulating and grounding. Redend Point

Redend Point has been selected by Sherwin Williams as their colour for 2023. Warm blush beige, or Redend Point, can be used as a warm accent colour when combined with paler hues. However, you may also use it as a cosy neutral in any area of your house.

The hue is described as being neither too bright nor dark, melancholy nor pleasant. As a result, it makes for the ideal mid-tone neutral hue for a home. A basic, peaceful, and interesting hue called Redend Point fosters a sense of connection with the outside world.

Wild Wonder

Wild Wonder has been selected as the year’s colour by paint manufacturer Dulux for 2023. Natural golden colour called Wild Wonder can help you bring the outside inside.

The term “Wild Wonder” describes our sense of freedom in nature and the natural enchantment that is all around us (Wonder). The 2023 Dulux colour trends are heavily influenced by nature, and as such, four complementary colour palettes full of (natural) colours that may be paired with Wild Wonder have also been selected.

Gray and Tan Tones 

According to Gene Fitzgeral, an interior designer at Best Osmosis Systems, “Gray and tan colors are a hot trend right now, and I think they will continue to be popular as we move into 2023. These hues are perfect for creating a calming and neutral atmosphere in any room, while still offering plenty of flexibility when it comes to accessorizing.”
